Tasting Notes:

The story behind the Three Virgos label is a family tribute; both Geoff & his father were born both on the same day in September, one day later than the birthday of his grandfather.

The colour has excellent depth and is very dark red with hints of crimson and a wonderful varietal aroma that is immediately noticeable while the blend of McLaren Vale and Coonawarra bring out the best in this Cabernet showing peppermint, violets, leather, black olive, menthol with toasty vanilla. The palate is fresh and tight with firm tannins, well balanced acidity and finishes with a clean fresh fruit note.

Wine Region:

Located approximately 35km south of Adelaide in South Australia. Grapes were first planted in 1838 and some vines are more than 100 years old and are still producing. Today there's more than 88 cellar doors. McLaren Vale is recognized as one of the best Shiraz growing regions in Australia, second only to the Barossa.

Food Pairing:

Roasted red meats.
