Tasting Notes:

A blend from two premium vineyards which display quite different characteristics, this wine exhibits both the lush riper tropical fruit notes and the classic lean gooseberry grassy fruits that Marlborough is known for. The palate is long and rounded retaining the lovely fresh tropical fruit and grassy flavours with succulent guava and passion-fruit lift and a dry finish.

Wine Region:

Located in New Zealand in the north east of the South Island. It's best known for its dry climate and Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir wines. Worldwide interest in Marlborough wines, particularly Sauvignon Blanc, has continued to fuel the region wine boom. The region currently has 23,600 hectares of land planted with planted grapes. These plantings are primarily located within the Wairau Valley. Over the last decade, viticulture has also spread southeast into the smaller slightly cooler Awatere Valley.

Food Pairing:

Fish, oysters, crustaceans, Thai, vegetarian pizza, summer salads, quiche, proscuitto, capsicum & asparagus dishes, smoked fish, white meats, herbed chicken & veal.
