CHABLIS, FRANCE

Varietal: Chardonnay
Current Vintage: 2016
Bottle Size: 750ml
Case Size: 6

TASTING NOTES:

Very beautiful pale green gold yellow colour. Bright, luminous and limpid. The nose is young and fresh, it expresses itself vividly in a whirlwind of fine floral and fruity scents. The palate is lively, pleasant and fruity, it makes us discover the lemon, and lemongrass in a finely mineral universe. The finish is nice, it leaves the mouth fresh and fragrant.

ABOUT:

Climate:
Chablis is located in a continental zone: hot in summer and cold in winter with spectacular spring frosts.

Topography:
The Chablis vineyard is located on south/south-east and south-west slopes facing the Serein river. The average altitude is 120 to 150 metres above sea level.

Soil:
a component of the terroir which we have just described. We should add that the Chablis subsoil, consisting of lime marl and oyster fossils (kimmeridgian), is rich and porous, allowing deep rooting of the vines and even water intake.

FOOD PAIRING:

Pair this fantastic wine with shellfish dishes such as vongole in white wine sauce or moules marinières.
