Subtle herb and citrus shadings mark the nose with hints of melon. Fresh nettle, gooseberry and tropical fruit flavours shape the palate, giving it breadth upfront that gently tapers into a long, elegant, citrusy finish.
Located in New Zealand in the north east of the South Island. It's best known for its dry climate and Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir wines. Worldwide interest in Marlborough wines, particularly Sauvignon Blanc, has continued to fuel the region wine boom. The region currently has 23,600 hectares of land planted with planted grapes. These plantings are primarily located within the Wairau Valley. Over the last decade, viticulture has also spread southeast into the smaller slightly cooler Awatere Valley.
