Tasting Notes:

The Karatta Chardonnay was gently hand picked and lightly whole bunch pressed to extract only the sweetest and most flavoursome grape juice. 20% was fermented in new French oak and allowed to complete malolactic fermentation in order to add complexity to the flavours. The wine has a bright straw yellow appearance, with a fresh tropical and citrus fruit refreshing aroma; on the palate delicious flavours of apricots, melons and nectarines evolve with hints of toasty French Oak.

Wine Region:

Robe never gets much love as a wine region - it's a beautiful part of the world and make some more-than-handy wines. This earthy Cabernet is a perfect example of that potential.

Robe is a wine region located in the south east of South Australia immediately adjoining the town of Robe. The region received appellation as an Australian Geographical Indication in 2006. It is part of the Limestone Coast wine zone.

Food Pairing:

Great match with grilled fish & prawns, swordfish, salmon, steamed mussels, roast chicken, pork, cold meats, summer salads, vegetarian, Asian foods, pasta, risotto, hard & semi-hard cheeses.
